Default Hooker blackeart differences

Hooker shows 2 different versions for our cars. One is a "race only" version. I've looked at the site but I can't find what the actual difference is. I'd like it to be louder. Seems like the blackheart videos I've watched sound pretty quiet.

Any input?

"Race Only" might have no provisions for cats, or rear 02s, i know there are 4 individual part numbers 2 for the race and 2 regular versions only difference i seen in the specs was the 409 vs 304 stainless being used. Specs on hookers site didn't even change really from race to regular version either, same mufflers and everything looked the same in photos just like you mentioned. Now on the being loud part, the TSP duals or the SE duals will be louder. One more thing hooker designed their setup to run with their line of mid length headers, if you have LTs you have to spend another 150 on adapters or take the time to bring the car to a muffler shop to have them fab you up some connections.

What you have heard was probably new installations. Listen to one with at least 5,000 miles on it. Big difference.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to save a little ground clearance with the hookers but I'd choose louder over being a little more cautious around speed bumps.

Hopefully TSP or SE has a good black Friday sale this year.

Some of the differences I think are that one set mounts to hooker mid-length headers and another will.mount to their long tubes I believe.

They have a few different versions One connects to stock manifolds, one to mid lengths and one to longtubes. If you want loud go with texas speed true duals. The volume gets old fast believe me.

I have their mid-length header and TD. It came with the car and I have not looked up what part numbers they are. I really like the sound. It is a good blend of sound quality and not too loud, not too quiet. No issues with ground clearance. I have never been a fan of the dual tips on a camaro fwiw. But everthing is tight and square, unlike some other systems I have seen pictures of.

As far as i know, the "race version" is for midlenght or longtubes and the other version mounts to the stock cats and headers. I have the Blackheart LT and the Dual System, lowered on Eibach springs, and the ground clearance is same as stock and the fitment is perfect. So far happy with the system.

You can always change the mufflers on blackheart kit if you want to change sound.
Lowered cars would benefit with 2.5” pipes.
