TBSS intake Anybody know if the intake on LS on a Buick Rainier or Envoy XL is the same as TBSS? See a few of them in junkyard wonder if it’s worth picking it up for a later project.

OP, the 05 and some of the 06 stuff had a gen 3 truck intake with a 4 bolt TB and larger opening. I've never seen a dyno test done on one.

Verdad Gallardo No. You need to figure out a throttle cable bracket if you have a cable TB. You need to get a TB if you don't already have a four bolt.
The map sensor seemed weird to me so I put the gen 3 sensor in it, it's not a direct swap but close. My map sensor wire wasn't long enough so I had to extend it.
If you want to run a factory vacuum referenced FPR type fuel rail you need to get creative to make it fit.

Get a short MAP sensor extension harness.
If you have the factory return style gen 3 truck rails and want to reuse them, you can shorten up the mounting tabs on the rails until you're able to get them over the intake, and then drill new holes.

Yes it should be. If its a 4 bolt throttle body and 87mm inlet on intake snout ( bigger than 78mm and 3 bolt tb) then yes! I've picked a few off 5.3s in envoys, rainers and trailblazers... All were gen 4 i takes and had ls2 heads.
