Dumped Y pipe
Dumped Y pipe Due to my BMR Extreme torque arm crossmember, space is limited and I’m going to have to run a Y pipe, I’d like to dump it after a 14-16” dynomax bullet, anyone on here have that setup? Y pipe is from speed engineering.

Easy and lightweight. Id probably try to run it side exit in front passenger tire with maybe an oval slash cut to cut down on resonance and drone.

I have ARH 1-7/8 LT's with 3" collectors into a catted ARH 4" Y, With a 4" dynomax bullet turned down at 45 degree angle it was too loud for me and the drone was pretty bad from 1950-2400 rpm, I have since changed to a 4" Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow also dumped at 45 degrees just in front of the axle and I love it, has about 100 rpm spot where it drones and thats it, sounds awesome and didn't give up any power at all to the bullet.

If I just use a 3" bullet and turn down off the Speed Engineering Y pipe, will I lose much power compared to cutting the merge back a bit and welding on a 3.5" bullet and turndown? LS1 with 243's, 228/232 cam, LS6 intake, headers.

Id cut it back and use the larger muffler if you can. If it's going to be loud it sure better flow well otherwise it's a waste of time.
