Where does this small bracket go on rear of LS1?

Where does this small bracket go on rear of LS1?

Please excuse me, I am new to this! Does anyone know the correct possition for this bracket on the rear of my LS1, I think it goes in one of these two positions marked with an arrow??

I can see a faint outline where there was something on there previously. Not even sure what it's for?? I'm just about to put engine in and don't want to struggle trying to put it in latter.

Secondly do I need the big ugly black bracket on the right at rear of engine, I don't need it to hoist as I'm using valley plate, is it used for anything else??? It's from a 99 VT commodore left hand drive.

I believe a ground wire goes where you're red arrows are pointing. I never use those ugly black brackets. Chunk it. Lol Goodluck

I did not reuse that bracket, but it does go back there. Check your harness, you should be able to figure where the grounds go based on their length.

LS1 How To mentions it on part 3 of their install, paragraph 4, but no mention of location

This other resource I used show the bracket on the upper bolt hole and ground on the lower bolt hole. It was form a corvette though. That is step #45
