C5 engine wiring harness question I have a 2003 c5 6 speed and I am doing a heads and cam swap. I pulled the engine to replace it with a lower mile engine. After I pulled the engine I noticed my wires for the starter and one ground wire are burnt together. I have thought about fixing them or just buying a new harness but it’s hard to find one. I am picking up a salvage 01 c5 auto to part out. Question is will the engine harness from an 01 auto work on an 03 manual?
Simply repair the couple burnt wires on your current harness if that's the only issue it has. The time and effort spent replacing the entire harness over a couple small burnt spots seems a bit silly.
