Open Short?
Quick background; this is a 1989 Camaro RS with a complete power train and wire harness swap from a 2000 Z28 donor car. The only wires that I spliced were the tail light harness and the head light / parking light harness. It has been largely trouble free for 7 years.
However, I am now getting an occasional miss at idle and moving the wire harness located between the back of the intake and the firewall will cause the car to stall. There appear to be two directions that cause problems; if I lift up on the harness or push the harness toward the passenger side the car will stumble and stall.
Anyone have any idea what circuit might be in that harness at that location that could cause this?
I've checked all my grounds on the back of the engine. I think there's 3 in total, all attached with a metric screw to the head. Just not really sure what I'm looking for here...
I appreciate any insight anyone can offer.
