Default O2 Sensor question

So just got a 01 SS with 9k original miles. Been sitting indoors for most of its life. I drove it for bout 5 miles and Service engine light came on. Then the light turned off 2 days later. The car still rides fine without any issues. I still had a friend hook it up and these codes popped up. Im just going to switch out both upstream sensors. What throws me off on Amazon on the Part it says "Upstream Right". Will this O2 sensor work for both sides?

Looks like you need new forward O2 sensors.

The part number you listed is the "upstream right" with a harness length of 12.20". On rock auto the part number for the denso upstream left is different and has a harness length of 16.54". See below:

Considering you have a code for both banks, why not buy one of each? Besides that, I think the handedness if from the perspective of the driver: left = driver, right = passenger.

ok so i replace both Upstream O2 sensors and the car was fine for about a week and now the Check engine light came back on with code P0420. Since the car only has 9k original miles I doubt the cats are bad. I was thinking using O2 Sims. What do yall think? Anybody have a link for recommended O2 Sims?

Sounds like the downstream o2's might be bad. However this shouldn't affect performance. It will be a problem come smog time when you need to pass emissions.
