Stock air lid modification.

I'm getting ready to install a smooth bellows. (Fernco) I am on a really tight budget this year and wondered if theres any benifit to trimming of the baffles in the lid?

you can find used lids for ~$60-80 bucks. dont know what to tell you if you cant afford that.

oh yes, its the most restrictive part of the stock air intake sys. if you can cut those out and somehow make a good seal then you have done what most air-lids do.

Ouch! (LOL) My Daughter is going to Europe on a Singing tour. Once that is over the budg will be back to normal!

the fernco is cosmetic only, it wont add a thing. I would remove the baffles in the lid(bend them back and forth with a pliers they come right out) then cut the air bellows by the beginning, and seal them off with plastic and epoxy. The air bellows and the baffles are the power robbers, NOT the tube from the mafs to the tb.
