Default Anyone tapped upper ls1 water pump nozzle?

Hi,
would like to put a hard bend in place of the existing upper ls1 water to rad pipe. Anyone removed and tapped the aluminium pump.
i got 10mm clearance to turbo log bend and worried its gonna melt my 90 deg silicone coupler. Picture deceiving, by the time the 90 silicone bend is fitted 10mm clearance...
regards
gav

It cuts and taps very easily and is fairly durable, you won’t have to worry about it cracking, if that’s what you’re worried about. The nipples are all press fit into the pumps and can be pulled out with a little bit of ingenuity, that may be an easier route.

Update..
knocked old one out..
A 1" bsp stainless barrel nipple goes tight half way down thread, but dont know if screwing that in(once using tap to create thread) will be enough to seal it...
BCM sell some tap in parts....
another option is machine a stainless stub pipe down to 1.299" base and knock in like theirs?? And weld elbow on from there....?
bet someones done it?

Or simply cut off the first barb and clamp behind the second one, that’s actually what I’ve done.

This is what I was going to suggest.
