I'm just completing a LQ4 swap into my square body Suburban. Drove it for the first time last night. Definitely worth the effort!
The starter was off my motor when I bought it, so I can't be sure it's the original starter for the engine. It did bolt up with no issues, but twice on my maiden voyage I went to start it and it spun but the teeth didn't engaged. One the second time, I think it was as I turned released the key, the teeth caught hard... That's gonna break teeth.
I am using the same 4L80E flywheel that came on the motor. Engine came from a 2002 Silverado 2500.
