Ls6 intake Can anybody tell me what parts are needed to swap out my ls1 intake with a ls6 I am not sure what is needed to be purchased in order to make it a smooth swap I already have purchased ls6 intake from corvette I realize that new gaskets are a must possible oil pressure sending unit some kind of egr block off plate and what about AIR system? Should I also replace the knock sensors and harnesses?also wanted to ask about speed engineering headers and y pipe upgrade are they good system car has SLP loudmouth cat back on it now .Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
you will need to either modify the underside of the ls6 manifold to clear the fbody ls1 style steam cross over tubes or use the ls6 style which blocks off the rear ports and only cross over the front. you can ditch the air system also if you like, there are plenty of block off plates on ebay for it. if you go longtubes you can get them without the provisions for egr and air and kill 2 birds with one stone.
cant speak to the exhaust mods, I have the ebay headers and off road y on my 414, i had corsa at the start and it was far to raspy for my liking.
