Crank pulley
I understand the different belt offsets Corvette, Camaro and Truck. What I need to know is if the face of the balancer on all of these offsets are the same even though belt path depth is altered.
For example I have a Blower combo on my Ls1 with Camaro spacing which required a hub adapter on the crank pulley for the blower pulley to mount to. Will this combo go straight onto a Corvette spaced accessory drive and keep the blower alignment?
Or will I need a different depth hub adapter to maintain blower alignment?
Cheers
I have an 8/71 combo on my 5.7 ls1 with Camaro offset at the moment and am looking to transfer this onto another engine and would like to know if I need a different hub adapter.
Pic below illustrates what I have, does the Corvette spacing leave everything the same, (the 6 bolt flange face on front of the pulley is same distance off timing cover) and just pulls the belt path closer to the engine? Meaning that the 6 bolt face on the front of the pulley would be same depth and I can use the same adapter that my ls1 currently has it will just be exposed further past the belt path?
