Default AIR system removal issue

AIR system delete issues. I'll try to make this as short as possible. I removed the intake manifold to replace some seals and to do the ls6 valley cover upgrade. During the process, I figured I wanted the air system out. Now's the time to do it with all the working room available. Passenger's side AIR intake to manifold unbolted easily. Driver's side bolt heads got rounded out to all hell. It was rounded to begin with. I bought the car in 2004 and I believe the previous owner for whatever reason, screwed around in there. The other bolt too is partly rounded, but still workable. HOWEVER, it is seized in there good. I think the guy used an impact to tighten them. NOTHING I tried is working and I've just flat out given up.

Since this has a check valve, would there be any issues if i just left that pipe there and removed the rest of the system? I do plan on getting headers next year. They're just not in this year's time and budget. I just want to finish it up and enjoy the summer. Thanks

I think you need to pull a fuse and you should be OK as long as you don't have an exhaust leak.

thanks. Yeah, I know about the pump fuse. I just hope the check valve is fine. If it is, I cant see an issue.

The check valve will pull in air when the vacuum developed in the exhaust (you'd be surprised) pulls it open, and it it will make a weird buzzing/farting kind of noise. Put a cap on the check valve.
