So long story short I was moving an engine I had on the stand with the forklift. The stand and engine lost balence and fell off. Engine looks OK other then some gashes on the driver side head.
Is there anything I should be concerned about internally or should I just check if it still turns over fine? It didn't land on the crank or balencer. More so on the side
Tough one to answer but the damage your showing is minimal. If the valve covers were off when it fell and made contact with the valves and springs that might be of concern.
Take the plugs out and rotate the engine and listen for any weird sounds. It should only take a few revolutions to discover a noise or the engine binding. After that you can drain the oil and see if you have any shavings from that procedure. If not, bolt it in.
