Current situation, LQ4 is in a Jeep Wrangler. Truck pan got popped by a rock so I got an F Body pan. On inclines I started to drop to no oil pressure. I was advised to buy the Improved Racing Baffles. This helps a little, but only gives me a little more time on inclines before it drops out again. I overfill by a quart.
My question is, which shallow pan should I purchase that has a rear pick up. The mid pick up of the F Body just will not work for me. I need a rear, but don't want an 8 inch deep pan.
F Body pan will be up for sale with baffles as soon as this one is replaced.
With the type of angles your rig is seeing, I’d go with a dry sump and/or an accusump. Accusump will bail you out with your current oil pan setup for a brief amount of time.
