LS6 Intake - Brake Booster Vacuum
brake booster diaphragm and this is what I came up with. What is a brake diaphragm?
The diaphragm creates two chambers inside the brake booster, separating an environment with air pressure from another under vacuum. As the pedal is pressed, the diaphragm moves, and more air at atmospheric pressure is added, increasing the braking force.
What is the difference between a single and dual diaphragm brake booster?
Single vs Dual Diaphragm Brake Booster. SINGLE DIAPHRAGM BOOSTERS work well with four wheel drum systems or front disc brakes and rear drum applications. DUAL DIAPHRAGM BOOSTERS are needed for four wheel disc systems because they can produce a higher level of brake assist even if their physical size is smaller
In an effort to clear up any confusion with regards to the check valve I did remove those posts but if that valve is not working correctly then OP will not be able to pull vacuum on the booster. I agree with you Scott and feel the issue is either the master cylinder or the brake booster itself.
