i bought a 98mm airlid from hawks.then i bought a trufiber a12 hood and guess what the hood will not close because its hitting the lid. what can i do without having a open filter in engine bay? right now i have a 4 inch stainless steel pipe from throttle body to airlid. this is not the lid from hawks this lid is smaller. i have this one on now so i can close hood and it still hits bad

strange, i have a trufiber 4" cowl and it doesnt come close to making contact. May need some pics to see whats going on. Are there marks on the hood from where it contacts?
I found another thread of a user having the same problem. May just be one of those hoods. Many hoods will rub against the lid. I find it strange they wouldn't build it with clearance around the lid in mind but it is more of a stock style hood.
