Default Exhaust Question

I'm going to be running dumps, with Dynomax 24215 bullets, off my collectors.

The collector is a 3'' and the bullets are 2.5''. What size reducer will I need?

The Eckler link is a dead end. Won't some simple 3"- 2-1/2" slip-slip reducers do it? Just weld to the bullets....

are you doing this yourself? If not a good exhaust shop can do a step-down weld and there won't be an issue.

I have the LTs in the link, I just posted the link as a reference to what I have. But yeah, that is what I was talking about, I wasn't sure the best way to go with the reducers and what size. Do I get a reducer that goes over the collector and bullet inlets or do I get a reducer that slips into the collector and bullet inlets?

EDIT: ****, I just realized what you said, lol... Link fixed.

It will be a no-brainer for any competent muffler shop with a tube bender/expander. 20-minute job.
Just saw the Eckler post. Looks like reducers come with the headers. Use them. No-brainer....

All the other parts are long gone, lol

I'm trying to mitigate the cost, with buying the reducers, because the shop will sell you a $10 reducer for $35.

The shop can MAKE the reducer with the tubing expander by expanding one end of a couple short pieces of scrap 2-1/2" tubing. If they charge $70 for them, RUN, Forrest, RUN to a more competent muffler shop...

lol, yep! Just got off the phone with a shop and they want to charge $40 each for the reducers, lol...

I'm thinking about using a lap joint band clamp and just deal with the slight exhaust leak, lol

reducers are like 20 bucks. Just buy 3" mufflers and recoup costs on the 2.5s.
