AD244 Alternator Slipping I have a factory AD244 145 amp alternator on my LQ4 with a Whipple 2.9L blower. When the car quickly accelerates the alternator slips. It has a brand new Whipple tensioner, the belt is a new Gates RPM series belt and the pulley is new. I only have a 6 rib setup now, but if I slowly accelerate, I hold 13.9v. If I smack it from 2-3K rpm and the trans downshifts and the blower starts building boost, the RPMs come up quickly and my volts drop to battery voltage at 12.6v. If the RPMs settle down, the alternator will start charging again. The pulley is a stock size, would going to a larger pulley help with slippage? I am concerned it may not charge well at low RPMs if I go to a 3".
