Default LS-6 Intake install problem...help please

I'm trying to install a new LS-6 intake on my '99 LS-1. I removed the old coolant pipe and replaced it with two plugs in the rear and a single pipe in front. The problem is, it won't quite install flat and secure. It feels like it's rocking on top of the knock sensors. The two brass dowels are in their locating pockets. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want to force it. Do I need to grind some clearance somewhere?

Thanks alot,
John

have you removed the green clip looking tabs from the knock sensor wiring? may not be green on yours though.

Yes, they are green and they are removed.

I routed the wires straight back so they wouldn't get pinched on top of one the valley pan bolts.

The pivot point of the rocking appears to be right in the center of the manifold...like it's on top of the knock sensors.

Still stumped,
John

I think I got it. I just had to get a little frustrated and push down with some authority.

Thanks,
John
