Default Mr gasket electric water pump?

Anyone using this pump?
It didn’t come with an output piece but I’m assuming I can just order the same input piece?

Electric water pumps flow way more consistent and better a low rpm idle situations. the downside is less flow at wot.

are you specifically talking about an electric water pump for a Ford engine, like the one you posted the picture of?

my bad didn’t notice that ad pic was for a Ford. Pump looks the same but for an ls with the additional bbc adapters.



As you can see the other location for an outlet (I’m assuming) is just right of the inlet but both aimed down if it matters.

Default Mr gasket electric water pump

Bought this pump + the adapters for an ls engine and here’s where I’m at.

Am I missing something? The silver piece goes right into the balancer and I’m not sure what the two openings on the adapters are for.

My T/A always run's too hot at red lights in the summer here in FL. Even with the air off. I'm going to add a large in line electric pump to the system this year and see if I can drive it through the summer. Would be really cool if I can run the air too!

First step is ausing a real set of AC gauges ,, the little ones are sub par at best.
I bough the harbor freight set it works pretty well, even on my Old BMW that's wicked sensitive to the proper pressures.
Have you washed the condenser and radiator? You can buy spray cleaner specifically for the aluminum coils (AC coil cleaner) , spray on power wash off staying 90 degrees from the face of the radiator/condenser. The condensers are horrible for plugging with dust and grime. CLean they do a way better jobs.

It might be designed to work without a AC pulley ?? But then looked again and ,,,,
Oh wait, those are spacers not adapters, looks like they are to move the short stock pump outward to match long accessories.. ?

Make sure your fans are kicking on at the right temp, or at all! It is surprising how often the electric fans malfunction due to faulty sensors or just badly frayed or broken wiring, or nonfunctional motor(s).

I’m using corvette accessories and these were labeled as adapters since the pump is a bbc and I’m using them on an ls.

If your dead set on running that pump you could flip it and run some kind of crazy crossover radiator hose (assuming it doesn't interfere with PS pump), otherwise I think you will need a different pump, either that or a significantly underdriven crank pulley might make it small enough??

already put in a request to return it. The directions say it’s for ls engine with the additional adapters but clearly that’s not the case. What are the two hoses on the adapters? Do they connect at a Y into the radiator outlet or?

what u got was a standard SBC/BBC electric waterpump and LS to BBC waterpump adapters. The holes in the block adapters (above the pump) should be threaded and you need fittings to adapt to AN or rubber rad hose and then connect them to a Y fitting and that connects to the top of the rad (outlet from rad and inlet to the radiator or top hose). The outlet on the pump (billet silver) is the inlet to the pump which connects to the lower rad hose. You got everything you needed to install but your need to put together your own upper rad hose attachment. Which is why I didn’t go with that style. I went with the procomp slimline LS1 waterpump for a future build and the reasoning is it houses the inlet and outlet just like the stock pump except no thermostat and the inlet to the pump is like a BBC/SBC pump style which I like as it will make it easy for me to adapt a supercharger in a tight engine bay.

I got this on sale with a 3yr warranty for less than $150. normally like $300 and the warranty is like $125.

Yep been there...The car is not a daily, New fans(3)always on with IGN relay.
The 2 stock fans and shroud on the 30% over stock style radiator. It's all aluminum with 1 extra core(3 core)plus a f-150 heater core behind the slots of the front bumper with a 6" fan of its own on the right side. If this mess with the big electric and stock pump doesn't stay cool during the day in F.L this year I'm going with a big sucker mounted under the car near the back bumper. I have to have my A.C.
