IAC Relearn?
IAC Relearn? Today I purchased and installed an AC Delco IAC... As soon as I start the engine it idles at 2500+ RPM and WILL NOT IDLE DOWN. On a road test I'm idling down the road at 40MPH... Several things cross my mind;
1. There is a relearn procedure that I should be doing.
2. Someone purchased this supposed "AC Delco" IAC, put a CHINA IAC in the box, and returned it. There is NOTHING on the IAC to indicate it is AC Delco. NO GM part #. NOTHING.
3. I have an AC Delco IAC (China made trash) that is bad right out of the box.
I'm open to suggestions. In case it matters... 2001 GM LS 5.3 LM7 ALL STOCK except headers and cold air. Engine is in a 1995 GMC Sierra 4x4. Has been running for 5 years prior to blowing a head gasket, destroying both O2 sensors, the A/C Compressor is leaking dye and oil (it's okay as I have to replace it EVERY year anyway).
