Default New Radiator Question

I have a 2001 TA with 6-speed manual trans. I purchased a GM Original Radiator from Rock Auto. Rock Auto Part number 21344 /GM Part number 52487149. I double checked the GM part number and that is correct. The radiator arrived but it has the fitting for an automatic oil lines.

I searched on line and the GM part number is correct and when I find the radiator at other stores it shows the automatic oil line fittings as well.

Is this right? Am I supposed to cap of the oil lines????

Any help would be greatly appritieated.

Mark

I've done some searching online and it sounds like the new radiators come with the trans lines regardless. You simply don't use them. That makes sense, but would love if someone here could confirm.

One other "fitting" that isn't on my original radiator... see attached image. Any idea what this tan-ish colored cap is for?

ok... that makes sense. I have an LS1 so the low coolant sensor is obviously somewhere else. So just leave this as is and I'm good?

LS1s had the low coolant sensor, too. At least the early ones (my '98 has it, and so did my '99 and pretty sure my 2000 did as well). With that said, I knew GM had discontinued the low coolant sensor by 2002 (my '02 Z28 didn't come stock with it), but I wasn't sure about '01. So I guess '01 didn't have it either.

Well i guess the cap just stays as is, since my 01 doesn't have a low coolant sensor. Fingers crossed it doesn't leak
