Nick Williams TB getting stuck a common issue?
Nick Williams TB getting stuck a common issue? Anyone having issues with their NW 102 throttle bottle getting stuck?
During a run, went to shift from 3rd to 4th (no power shifting) and bam...throttle pedal stuck to floor. RPMs returned to idle. After pulling over, noticed throttle cable was detached. Tried to open blade by hand however it was stuck closed. Got it to open again with blunt end of screwdriver. Ever since then, it gets stuck while sitting at a light. Is this normal for a Nick Williams TB?

It probably snapped shut when the cable popped off and now there is a burr that is causing it to hang closed. As Gatsma says-remove TB from engine, hold blade open and with fine sand paper go along the leading edge of the blade polishing it. You can do the same in the bore where the blade rests. If that does not fix it... the other thing you can do is weld the hole (if yours has one?) in the blade shut, and then you will have to use the set screw to open the blade a little bit to re-gain that now lost airflow.. The set screw would then be holding the blade slightly open and it will not longer get stuck in the bore when at rest, or in the "idle" position.
