Default Intake /throttle body angle problem...resolution???

Anyone ever run into this issue before?? Did you solve the problem?? If so...how???

when I purchased this aftermarket sheet metal intake I had gone around a few rounds with the ebay store support folks I purchased it from about this issue because I noticed it before I even purchased it that it was angled fairly steep and they told me this manifold with the angle in it was the correct one due to the 1998 to 2002 WS-6 hood angling downwards in front and throttle body needed to angle down so it would not hit the hood... I even took photos of the setup prior to pulling it all apart and showed them the stock manifold was straight and throttle body and all connecter tubes and MAF housings were all straight and they told me the 4th gen camaros they built in the past required the angled manifold because the straight ones hit the underside of the hood due to the increased sized TB. The angle seems too extreme though and nose dives downward very sharply.

So that being said has anyone had this issue before??? Did you machine an angled piece of aluminum plate or buy an angled aluminum spacer to adjust the angle of the TB to work with the stock air box assembly or has anyone angled the MAF housing or install the rubber coupler tubes at an angle or just put in a 90° bend tube and run a cone style filter off to the side and abandon the fresh air box from the WS-6 hood nostrils or what all options are there for this issue???
See photos for specifics
I did find a site selling an aluminum angled TB spacer for a 102mm/manifold and TB setup for LS engines (not car specific) but from the initial look at them I would need to buy 3 or 4 of them and stack them to get the angle to work and at that point it probably would push the TB out so far from the TB that the MAF housing and silicone couplers that clamp to the air box lid would not work since everything would be pushed forward over an inch or two. I like the idea of getting cold fresh air thru the nostrils or snorkels in the hood since that's what they are specifically engineered to do. Prefer to not abandon that if possible but do you guys have any ideas or did someone make something to get this all to work?
i purchased a 10 inch long clear 4.100 strong lexan...plexiglass tube that i was going to cut this junk MTI lid apart and glue in this bigger tube to the lid to make it fit with silicone or rubber couplers and band clamps like the factory does. I can set the angle a little bit but seems the TB pointing downwards just needs to point level or... just had an idea... maybe cut 2 angled slices of the plexiglass tube and glue them together to correct the angle??? And then have stuff point upwards???

Intake and TB angle

Clear MTI lid showing distance to front of TB

Space between MTI lid and TB with angle issue

Another side shot of angled TB and lid.....

Space between the TB and air lid

Holding 4 inch MAF housing in front of TB (looks like ill have to cut the MAF housing down for better fitment)

Thank you everyone....

Jay.

That company is full of s#!t for telling you that the manifold needs to angle down. It's literally the same height as a stock manifold, maybe slightly higher, absolutely zero reason to angle it down. What's with that MAF? Why not run a factory LS1 MAF? You do that with the accordion bellows, and it'll likely fit. Although the tortured path the air will be taking isn't ideal.

Well the reason the MAF is the way it is in the 4 inch polished aluminum tube is because its a 102MM throttle body and 4 inch/102MM MAF Housing with an updated blade style MAF vs. the old blow through style that is like what 2 15/16ths or just shy of 3 inches, and since you cant beat physics, if any of the inlet air is less than 102 MM/4 inches, then having the upgraded sizes is worthless. So it MUST be at minimum 4 inches or 102 mm or whatever you want to call it.
I have seen some of these angle throttle body pieces (see the 2 photos attached below) that I could try, but they seem sort of big, and the air box is what holds the top of the radiator in place, so I only have so much space to work with. Other option is to order one of these (See the silicone/rubber coupler photo attached below) and custom cut that to angle everything at an upwards angle from the end of the TB upwards to the air lid which I would prefer to keep if possible. I purchased a clear plexiglass/lexan/lucite tube to clamp over the TB that I could cut at an angle and glue/graft it to the clear MTI lid I have on the car now to open up the stock air flow to 4 plus inches so I can gain the benefits of having the 102MM throttle body (sort of the point of all this)
However I know I can always just NIX the Air Lid completely, and just put in a 90 degree coupler at the TB and put the MAF in line and a K&N Cone style filter and shove it into the drivers side cubby behind the headlight where the relay and fuse boxes are but I really would prefer to harness the cold air through the WS-6 Hood Nostrils/scoops to get that direct cold air influx right in the low pressure spot at the front of the hood vs. pulling hot air flowing through the radiator and curling up from under the car and getting that teeny tiny bit of "RAM AIR" or Air Rammed into the intake by being as straight as I can make it vs like you mentioned having the air go all sorts of wonky directions or "tortured path" of the air flow, much better just straight through the nostrils, thru the little hood air box with the rain deflector removed, into the air box up through the filter and right through the MAF down the throttle body's throat into the intake.

ANyone know anything about these angled TB mounts that say they add HP however I dont see how that would happen............ especially the one that is like what, 3/8ths or 7/16ths of an inch at the thickest part at the top or bottom depending how you install it oriented upwards or downwards, how that can add HP i have no clue.

HOW this can add 8 to 12 HP is a mystery to me. But im more interested in changing the angle of my TB than adding 8 to 12 HP, like the other option

I could custom slice this to use the mandrel bend to angle the MAF housing upwards to meet the Air Lid if I have enough space to make it all fit.
