Default A/C Removal

I have an 02 Camaro I am trying to get wrapped up. It will be weekend fun car/track car and I do not plan on using the A/C so I figured I'd save some weight and give myself a bit more room in the engine bay. I already removed the A/C condenser and lines, etc when the engine came out. My question is what do I do with the two holes going into the heater box? Are they fine as is or do I need to cap them some how? I don't need to remove the heater box all together do I? I know this has been covered before but I couldn't find what I was looking for in the search tab. Any help is appreciated.

So I can run it as is, I do not need to do anything else? Just want to make sure I have everything figured out before I find a tuner to get the engine broken in and ready to go.

Run it. Mine have been uncapped for 17 years, my A/C works fine. ( I have two-seventy A/C, lol )
