Just went to install my Mike Norris catch can on my 2000 Camaro and I can't quite decide the correct routing. I've read the stickies and the instructions more than once but I'm still struggling. One thing that was clear in the instructions was running a line from the valve cover to the top of the can - did that. I believe that now I'm supposed to run the PCV hose (with PCV valve in place) to the lower inlet on the catch can? Can anyone confirm? What do I do with the other two inlets on the engine (intake manifold & throttle body) - cap them? See the picture for reference.
The way my catch can was routed was from the passenger front valve cover barb to the catch can and from the catch can to the lower intake nipple. Then route the drivers rear valve cover hose to the throttle body nipple.
Stock setup has a line on the back of the drivers side valve cover connected to the back of the passenger side valve cover then from there through an inline pcv valve just before entering the intake manifold port. The front of the passengers side connected to the throttle body. You can still run it this way and have the line or lines from the back of the valve covers enter the top of the catch can and then out of the can through the inline pcv valve to the intake port and leave the front on passenger side as stock.
Also the way wannafody stated is another way of connecting up the catch can which works well if you're using LS7 valve covers where the rear port on the drivers side cover has an orifice and not a big gapping hole like on the LS1 cover.
