Default Speed Engineering headers

Looking for some honest feedback, I don’t have a Kook’s or American Racing budget so please keep on topic, bolt on car not a big build, 1 3/4 is the size looking to go with, looking for people who have installed and used, thanks

I too can't afford $1200 plus for a set of headers. I've used Speed Engineering SS 1 3/4" headers on two LS swap projects. A LS6/4L60E in a 68 C10. They fit well. Did not hang down. I drove the truck for 3 years and zero leaks. The other project is my current 80 Camaro with a LS3/4L60E swap. Again fit well. No leaks. Descent spark plug boot clearance. I had to dimple the floor a bit for ox sensor clearance. The bottom off the header tubes are about even with the bottom of the subframe.
So that's the good but they could be better. The left side #1 header tube makes a pretty tight turn right as it comes out of the header flange. Could be a larger radius. Couple of tubes are like that. If you are looking for a max power header the Speed Engineering header is not for you.
Couple of pics of the Speedway Engineering headers in my 80.
The other pic is of how a good header should come out of the header flange.
