Default Holley hooker black heart question

I just bought a ‘99 Camaro SS convertible 6 speed. Planning an exhaust mod and I have decided to go with cat delete, hooker headers and black heart dual exhaust. I’ve watched countless videos but I have a question/concern I have not seen addressed. If I remove the air pump from the system as well as delete the cats, will any of this cause a check engine light? Wasn’t sure how the O2 sensors would react being installed essentially in a straight pipe. Also, will any type of tuning be required after this mod? Also, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions before I start please feel free to share 😊 Thanks!

Yes, deleting the cats will cause a service engine light. And yes, tuning can delete the light.

Yes, tuning in general will be needed to get the most benefit out of the LT headers.

The required part of the tune is to turn off a check engine light. It won’t be running rough prior to the tune.
