Default 99 LS1 upgraded to AD244 alternator, now making chirping noise

has anyone had an issue after upgrading to an ad244 alt with the alignment of the pulleys being off? my car made zero noises with the alternator i just took out, only problem with the old one was it couldnt keep up at idle and would stop charging at 5500 rpm. those issues are gone with the new ad244 (ac delco reman) but now i have a chirping noise.

The idler and tensioner pulleys are known to develop chirping sounds as they age (bearing deterioration). It could be that removing and reinstalling the belt (applying torque to the tensioner), for the alternator swap, has triggered a pulley that was marginal and would have started chirping soon anyway. You could reinstall the previous alternator as a test, or use a stethoscope on various points in the belt system.
