Using the LS2 Power Steering pump as a delete pulley?

Using the LS2 Power Steering pump as a delete pulley? Hi All,
I'm Converting my RHD 85 TransAM with a 5.7 LS1 which is currently running an LS2 power steering pump with a Holden HQ steering box to a TS Astra electric power steering pump, and I'm wondering if it's possible to use the old LS2 pump as simply a delete pulley to keep it in the same place and not have to buy a delete kit or another new belt?
Is it possible to open it up and essentially remove the internals and just run the pulley on it as is?

If it's a vane-type pump, and I'm not positive it is, you could disassemble it and remove the vanes.
Leave some fluid in it to lube the rotor and keep seals healthy. Just cap off the fittings.
