I'm considering the Mufflex with the Spintech muffler in a 4.0. Is anyone running this, and what are your thoughts? Is there a drone? What about build quality?

I currently have a Borla on, but I need to open it up more.

 

Spintech is the worst flowing muffler. Do the 4.0 w/ Magnaflow race muffler. I had that setup with big power and ran/sounded great.

 

I have a 4inch Mufflex setup with a Flowmaster on my twin turbo car and honestly, it's one of the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard, and I'm not just saying that because it's my car.

 

I'm running the 3.5" with a Magnaflow. Well built, sounds good, can't go wrong.

 

A long, loooonnng time ago on Ls1tech(back when there was actually tech and not a bunch of *****.(Yeah you know who you are.)

Someone with a black Camaro SS, did a muffler swap on a Mufflex 4 inch setup and gained a ridiculous amount of power.

IIRC, they went from a Flowmaster to Magnaflow muff.

I can't remember anything about the car or the setup. I might have it bookmarked somewhere. I'll have to check the archives.

 

Can vouch for the mufflex 4" with the magnaflow race muffler. I too had swapped from a borla catback. 408 with LS3 top end. It definitely gave the car some extra juice, never dyno'd again to tell a true HP figure difference, but was highly noticeable in the butt dyno LoL
