Gen 3 / gen 4 oil pump interchange?

Gen 3 / gen 4 oil pump interchange? I have an early L59 5.3 that I'm rebuilding to stock, and a LY6 6.0 that I'm mildly building to drag race.
The LY6 is very low mileage, barely broken in but spun a cam bearing. I'm going with a Melling pump there, I've been told to go with the M295, but I'm not sure that's the right one for the LY6, rockauto says 10355. 10% over.
I wanted to use the low mileage pump from the LY6 in the L59 but rockauto says they're different, the M295 fits the L59.
Which pumps do I need for which motor?
