Default Help required - CPS, AC Delco part number

Gentlemen, Good morning.

As a precursor I am based in the UK which means my corner shop does not stock LS parts, so everything I need I have to import.

With that out of the way I believe I have a defect crank position sensor. Symptoms were long crank and poor start/performance followed by a sudden stop and now no start/no spark.

Engine is a 2007 LM7 from a Silverado 1500 with 28 tooth reluctor - so the black 3 wire sensor.

This is my challenge I would like to buy a new AC Delco sensor to replace my faulty one, unfortunately when I use the part numbers from the sensor I keep being offered 3rd party parts not an AC one which has got me thinking that there might be an updated part number. Cant find that information online.

Could somebody confirm if this is the case - and the updated part number - or suggest a 3rd party sensor that is of OEM quality as cant afford the downtime, let alone additional shipping cost, and time, to get it wrong.

For reference the numbers on the sensor are.

04231

and

12560228

Your wisdom would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

the GM / Delco part number is 12560228

Here is the link to Rock Auto's web site (good bud of mine in Scotland orders from them all the time and gets parts faster than I do in Florida)

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...on+sensor,7196

alternates are listed on the link I sent

Not to sound nitpick, but you have a 24 tooth reluctor wheel, Vice 28 tooth.

When I do a Google search with that part number, I come up with tons of feedback
