Default Headers or LM?

I have a 02 Camaro ss A4 with a 216 cam. 3200 torque converter;and a Dynomax ultra flo muffler. On BFG Drag radials I went a 12.29 at 110.00 in 50 degree weather. My 60 ft was a 168. Now with warmer weather my trap speed is between 107 and 108.I know this happens with warmer weather.I would like my car to pull just a little more at the top of the track. Will the LM do this for me? Or do i have to spend a grand and buy headers? Those of you who bought the LM. Did you see an increase? Did you loose bottom end? Please let me know.

theres no comparison to the gains (hp and e.t wise) from LT's vs LM. and theres no need to spend a grand either for LT's. i paid 900 for my old setup (jet hots, catted Y, magnaflow, o2 extensions).

Headers...plus if you get the loudmouth, you will hate the sound of your headers if you put headers on with a loudmouth

What he said. Do not do a loudmouth with the headers. I had a loudmouth installed before I installed the Jet Hot headers. The combination sounds terrible. I did not have the funds for a true dual setup at the time so i got a dynomax bullet welded in place of the so called resonator and it sounds a lot better now.

If you're looking for something inexpensive the Jet Hot or Pace Setter headers are a good choice. A custom true dual system dumped before the axels will probably run $400-$500 but will sound 10X better than the headers with a Loudmouth.

Headers, ORY, keep your current exhaust and add an electric cutout. Open it for track duty. Viola! Best of both worlds!

You might want to try to hear loudmouth with headers first before you rule it out. I personally love my setup.

Buy the headers and keep your current cat-back.

I had the LM for a while before installing the header and couldnt stand it on long road trips. The drone/resonace at 2000rpms would eventually give me a headache. With the addition of the long tubes the drone/resonance died down a bit but eventually I still got rid of it. I had the Flowmaster American Thunder cat back before the LM and didnt notice a power increase from switching.

Dont buy into that "Up to 25hp" claim that SLP makes. They are known for overhyping their products. Just still with what you already have.

Buying the LM is one of the few mods I actually regret buying!

labor , install the **** yourself. you can gain up to 1.5mph and .4 tenths w/ a LT setup. you'll be luck to get even close to that with a catback setup.

Believe me you will notice a huge differnece with headers. I didn't notice any gains with my catback except for a louder exhaust note.
