i put some heater hose between the floor and the y pipe to stop it from hitting under hard acceleration, it worked mostly, but im still having troubles with it bumping every now and then at certain areas.

Would bumping the floor board for a little more keep this bitch from bumping the floor board? cause im REALLY Trying to avoid doing poly motor mounts.

thanks

I had horrible vibration when I used the hanger on the driver side that they put on the new ory's. Last night I just removed the bolt and left the hanger. That solved all my vibrations expet I am gettign some buzzing noise coming from the shifter area. I picked up a poly trany mount yesterday and will put that on today and see if that doesnt solve the problem.

if it solves teh issue lemme know, im still getting banging but i can't figure otu where from, the rubber hose is wedge in under the drivers side very well, i can't figure out where else it could be banging. perhaps where its attached to the tranny, when it torques the tranny makes it bump on the side, im not sure.

is the poly tranny mount easier to do than that motor mount? cause those lookl ike a bitch to do!

Oh yea, I just did it in about 10 minutes, very simple. go to www.installuniveristy.com and it gives you the details. I just have to bolt the cross member back up and will take it for a spin and see if the vibration is taken care of.

Well the mount solved the vibrations coming from the shifter, I only have a little vibration around 40 mph. I was logging for the ltrims so I havnt done any hard accelerations yet. I atcually dont hear as much road noise either. Just a note. the old trany mount was cracked on both sides and it was lopsided like it was always being torqued to one side. The cracks went down the entire length of each side and was starting to move to the top and bottom side.

well i figured out what my ory pipe is banging against...haven' theard of this yet either..

Im hitting the torque arm!?!?! right at the beginning of where the drive shaft begins...that part of the torque arm the y pipe bumps at hard aceleration. i was thinking about putting a small pie cut on the bottom side of the pipe where it hits the torque arm and bending down on both sides then just using a spare peice of metal to weld it back on so it doesnt leak. you all think this would work?
thanks
