This question has been asked several times before and several people, inlcuding myself, have thought about doing it.
I believe some guy here in San Diego did it on his hawk but ended up taking it off soon afterwards.
I decided against the idea because one single sweet-thunder muffler seems as if itwould be too restrictive on the I-pipe. The largest you can order the inner baffle is 2 1/2 inches. To swap out the "resonator" from the loud mouth which is 4 inch to something that is 2 1/2 inches would seem like bottle necking the exhaust.
Obviously I dont have hard facts to back up these statements but it seems like it makes sense. If you want to prove my statments wrong then hey by all means go for it. I for one would be really interested in seeing before and after dyno results.
Instead of simply replacing the "resonator" on the loud mouth I replaced the entire loud mouth cat back.
I doubt it would sound identical to the GMMG since that has two mufflers not one. Probably would be an improvement over the Obnoxious Mouth, opps I mean Loud Mouth.
