About Plug Wire Problem I was looking around the car extra close today since I am bored, and noticed that the MSD Super Conductor wires, red w/ a long boot of a thing at the plug and at the coil pack, has one on the boots, passenger side back plug, hitting up against my ceramic coated headers. It may have always been like this. Is this normal, and will anything get hurt? I have never noticed it, but have never looked for it either.
I've got the same problem. My #4 passenger plug (next to oil dipstick) burned a whole on my Taylor wire with my new Kooks headers. Anybody having clearence issues with they're Kooks. It's only burned thru the rubber housing not the actual wire and the car is running fine.
Thanks for the info, going to have to give it a try. I could have swore I did not touch the plug wire, and there is no way it could have been like this for forever and a day is there and it still be unburned?
I went out this morning to try that, and had no success. Will that boot just burn up? The wire itself is not touching the header. I think it has always been like this. I was wrong, it is the drivers' side back plug.
