Default Edelbrock Victor install help

Installing the Edelbrocks and need to know where the O2 bungs need to be placed. And if the angle of the O2 matters. Also, what else did you guys weld up? The merge collectors?

I don't have Edelbrocks, but the O2's need to be perpindicular to the exhaust flow. Can the headers be installed with the merge collectors on? If not, I wouldn't weld them incase you ever have to remove them.

Cool. I'll have to slip on the collectors and see if they can be installed that way or not.

So since I'm not using AIR and EGR, are the O2 bungs all that need welded if the collectors can't be welded?

P.S., felton, you're the man. Got the rodbolt install done, thanks

Correct, only tack weld the collectors and they will be leak free. The oxygen sensor bungs can be welded onto the collectors and you're all set. Enjoy the longtubes.

oxygen sensors are happiest when placed at a 10 degree downward angle from perpendicular. This is so that when condensation is formed in the pipe it won't
run down into the sensor and damage it.
