Need Help On Exhaust Pipe Sizes Street Pro (an LS1Tech sponsor) needs your help –
We have been asked by many customers to provide inexpensive and easy to use “couplers” or “adaptors” to facilitate the use of our 3” Street /Strip cutout into F-Body environments without the aid of exhaust shops or welding by the consumer. This will be a part that will allow installation of the cutout by means of “band clamps” . The part would fit over our 3” OD cutout and over the existing F-Body exhaust pipe aft of the Y pipe and forward of the “split” to the muffler. The question is: EXACTALY what is the outside diameter of an F-Body stock exhaust pipe in that location and did the size of this pipe change over the last 10 years? Naturally, we will provide “couplers” for non-stock applications such as 3” and 4” systems. Please reply with any suggestions you may have –Thanks!
