Patience. Don't be afraid to move stuff out of the way. It took a mechanic friend of mine (who has done numerous headers) and me, 8+ hours to install mine. It was the most difficult mod I've done.

The car will likely have to be at least a bit (or a lot) higher than jacks or jack stands will allow.

The passenger side is usually the easy side. What brand of headers are you trying to put in? Most likely your car isn't high enough. Try to find a way to safely raise your car a bit higher. And maybe you should try unbolting that long heatshield on the passenger side, it'll give you some extra room to get the header in and get the bolt back on as well.

Take out the sparkplugs. I have pacesetter headers and did not have a problem with the install, had it jacked up about 2 feet. The sparkplugs had to be out for the driver side but not the pass. side.

Most likely isn't high enough, why the hell would you not remove the sparkplug?
