Default EGR delete question

Had the car one 3 weeks, driven it 3 times. I am doing this all at one time: ported throttle body, dynatec LTs, TDs, asp pulley, 228/232 cam, chain, oil pump, etc. I am trying to keep the attention to detail as good as possible since I am doing so much at one time. Here is the question. Of course I am deleting the EGR and didnt find the exact method on which way to do it BEST. What my thoughts are taking the ftting that goes into the intake and breaking the flex pipe off just above the fitting. Then soldiering the already smasked pipe and making a seal. Does that sound ok? I know it will be air tight and last until I get an LS6 or Fast intake. Thoughts?

Thanks

Brandon

I believe you can just buy a plug that is made for that from some of the sponsors.

Exactly. It's the rubber one with the flat washer and nut on top. It expands as you tighten the nut.

I used GM part # 12558346, it's a factory plug with a seal identical to the EGR tube. It looks like it belongs there.

You really should get an intake if your installing all that stuff same time. Check out the parts section.
