weird smell after header install...

weird smell after header install... is it normal for the headers to be breaking in, or is it the gaskets seating?cause im gettin this funky 
smell after i turn the car off and open the hood. i got my exhaust hooked back up today after work...(way too loud w/open headers).also i was wondering if running the cutouts would affect the a/f ratio and would it have any long-term affects? other than lung cancer from the fumes. TIA....BTW; nice power diff, very happy.pacesetter LT install went picture-perfect.

You will normally get some smell when you first start the car up and get the headers hot after an install. Usually you will get some oil and grease on them during intall, plus the coating burns a little. Just make sure you don't have any wiring or O2 extensions touching the exhaust that could be burning.

mine smell like ****!!! i drove it around for a couple of days before i sent the pcm to tsp, and it smelled terrible. probably still does. it was even coming through my air conditioning. yuck
