What exactly are O2 extensions used for? :confused:

O2 extensions...

What exactly are O2 extensions used for?

When installing long tube headers the O2 bungs are usually moved further back towards the back of the car where the stock O2 wiring can't reach to, the extensions lengthen them a bit.

Are all longtubes like this? Cause I just purchased Pacesetter longtubes, and the sales dude from Speed Engineering never said a word of it. :/

That's the thing, not all LTs will necessarily require O2 extentions but I think most will. Some headers have the bungs closer to the O2 connector than others, some are on the inside (transmission side) of the headers and some are on the outside (door side) and of course some O2 sensors have longer wires than others maybe?
