Meizure Race Electric Waterpump

Temps are cooler at idle and low cruise. The claim is that more horsepower (7 ~ 12? depending on who you talk to) at top end because of the lack of drag from a mechanical pump.
I probabably will never know since my setup is changing all the time. I wanted to run cooler at idle and low rpms. (I have an iron block that loves to soak up heat.) It seems to have helped.

the Race version is 7lbs lighter than the street version... or so... I ran one w/ no Tstat on a daily driven car... no problems. I also think i read somewhere that the race version is 35gph and the street is 55... but dont quote me on that

I love my race pump, its so small and compact, stays out of way really well and very light.
the car stays super cool at idle, i havent driven it on an extended high rpm trip so i dont know if it would have cooling problems but its worked great for me so far

I heard they are over-rated. I saw one guy who only showed 1 horsepower difference back-to-back on a dyno. The other problem is that electric water pumps are not really made for street vehicles. They don't have the same everyday dependability of a regular pump. You would be better off either getting an underdrive pulley, or getting an underdrive power-steering pulley (I wish they made a black one). Or maybe both. Some people have done it with good success...I don't know about that one though.
