Default Jethot Headers, ORY and Hooker Aero go on this weekend.

Well...this weekend my Jethot Headers, ORY and Hooker Aero Chamber exhaust go on. What should I expect from the car when I pick it up? Will it loose low end torque and be a little slugish of idle and then pull really hard up top?

You won't notice a whole lot of loss. I did notice a little like right off idle, but it really makes up for it in mid range tq and top end horsepower. Your car will really pull in the higher rpms. You might want to look into getting it tuned. I have hptuners and it helped a lot. My mpg went up by about 3 and i felt an increase in power after tuning it.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope to be doing a cam install in a month or two. Do you think I'll be ok driving around with the headers untuned until then? I would hate to pay for two back to back tunes.

Yeah def. wait to get tuned if your doing a cam that soon. It won't hurt anything. A tune after a cam is def. a must, so factor that into your budget.

Some shops will give you a basic tune and then let you apply that cost on to a lifetime tune with them. For example, I got a $75 tune with my headers for fuel adjustment, EGR and Airpump delete and O2 delete and when I get my cam I'll just pay another $275 for a lifetime tune when I get my cam which is normally $350. Just something to look into
