Default LS1 oil pan question

Hey everyone, I bought a gen III truck oil pan off ebay a few weeks ago and just got it today. As I was cleaning it up and checking it out, I noticed someone had tried to drill one of the 2 small holes (on the back drivers side) of the pan, and had actually broken through to the oil filter area!!!! Is this a huge problem? Do I need to get another pan? I don't know why anyone would try to drill one of those holes!!! It is the hole towards the front of the engine. Thanks for any help!!!

so when you are looking down at the manifold, you shouldn't be able to see through the two bosses right???
