Cold start problem, could use some help.
Ok, this only happens when the car is first started and when cold. I'll start the car, the cam has a little surge to it because it's large, then I take off to go to work. Well, sometimes, not all, when I take off, the car falls flat on it's face, push the gas and it feels like a huge miss-fire, don't know how to explain it better, put the gas down and it studders, shakes, surges, clutch chatter, u name it. If i let off the gas and then rev up higher and pull the clutch out slow, it will barely surge, then get going. After a few minutes of driving, the car starts to behave like normal.
I want to check a few things and I want to see what you guys have to say:
Plugs, are they fouled? Oil covered? - will check.
How can I check to see if it's my clutch that is bad?
Could this be fuel pump/filter related?
Any other ideas you guys think I am missing?
Car doesn't seem down on power so I dont think it's a spring or pushrods.
thanks
