Default SSRA & Rain? Answerd

I've heard a lot of people asking about that, I put the austin scoop and added it to my FTRA, which makes the same thing as the SSRA. I took a trip to Florida and drove through this last hurricane, porring rain and heavy wind on the Highway for over 300 miles and didn't even get a drop on the filter. Works great, im very happy with it.

You're a brave man driving an LS1 through a hurricane.

I hate driving my LS1 through light drizzles, it doesn't like the rain

Thanks for the info though! I have always thought about getting the 2nd scoop.

That and the price are the main reasons I havent bought one of these yet. Im still deciding, has anyone had any problems with rain related issues?

Default rain

Yeah I know about the pot holes, they suck, I lived in FL. for 20 years. But im very happy with it. Took my car to the track here in gainsville tonight( first time it's been to a 1/4mile track) and was pulling 107 trap speeds, if I could have launched better I could have hit 108. My 1/8th mile gained a little over 1 mph and 1/10th from last time i went to the 1/8th mile track. So I would guess I gained 2mph and around 2/10th in the 1/4. That's just a guess tho since that's the first time it's been to the 1/4 track. And about the price, I already had a FTRA type ram air, so I just bought the austin scoop to make it a ssra, wasn't very expensive at all. Well take it easy everyone.
