Default to need or not to need, that is the ?

I have purchased the 28.8 # injectors w/ fuel rail at a great cost from one of our sponsors, I was wondering if I also went with a LS6 manifold should you also use the factory ZO6 MAF sensor. I asked the salseman if I need to get the computer tuned to recognize the injectors correctly when I bought them and he said that people are going with the ZO6 MAF to cure the problem because when you go with the bigger injectors it will cause the car to run richer and by going w/that MAF he has heard that helps.

I don't think you would, since didn't 98, 01-02 use that size injector?

So true. You have to tell the computer you're running the bigger injectors so it will close them faster. Otherwise it'll think the smaller ones are still there and it will keep them open longer, thinking it needs to to get enough fuel. You'll be just a little rich

Thanks for everyones help I just started running my superchips programmer which I've heard they make the car run leaner so maybe this will balance things out for awhile untill I can make the 31/2hr. trip to get my car tuned. Carolina Auto Masters is the nearest one for me. I don't have a lap top so LS1 edit and HP tuners is out of the ? for me. It's about time to make the trip because I have a new throttle body (MTI) and the new injectors and I need to go ahead and !my 02 simms and just have it !out of the computer.
I am looking at a used LS6 intake on ebay so I will go ahead and !EGR and!AIR
and install the intake at once. The superchips I got off ebay anyway for 150.00 so I will use it for it's other funtions and it is also the newer one so it reads DTC codes (already came in handy for that) DAMN SES light!!
I guess I would still like to know if I should still get the Z06 MAF and then get it all tuned. It seems like If I have the injectors and intake you should use the MAF but thats just a hunch obviously I don't know.

don't need the z06 maf. stock maf is good to ~650hp. unless you go with a 90mm tb/intake setup, then upgrade to the z06 maf and have it tuned.
